We will provide:

- Pay Range of $35.50 - $37.50 per hour

- Minimum 30 hours per Week throughout your employment period

- Paid vacation of 10 calendar days each year or 4% salary

Job Duties

• Install and repair drywall panels in residential buildings to create walls and ceilings. This includes measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing drywall panels to metal or wooden frames.
• Apply tape and use joint compound to fill joints, holes, and cracks in drywall panels, ensuring a smooth, seamless finish. Sand all joints and surfaces to a smooth finish, preparing them for painting or further treatment.
• Accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best approach for drywall installation and to ensure compliance with building codes and client requirements.
• Adhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Work closely with other construction professionals, to coordinate installation schedules and address any project challenges promptly.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and supervisor.
• Conduct thorough inspections of work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

Requirements

• Education: High School Completion
• Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a Drywall Taper
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various construction environments.
• Ability to legally work in Canada
