Job Title: Home Support Worker
Wage: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Benefit: 10 business days of paid vacation or 4% vacation pay + Extend Healthcare after 3 months of Probation
Working Location: 998 Harbourside Dr #202, North Vancouver, BC V7P 3T2 (Work in client’s home)
Job Duties:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting;
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition;
- Provide companionship and emotional support, helping clients maintain their independence and dignity;
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to appropriate personnel;
- Assist with mobility, including transferring clients in and out of bed or wheelchair;
- Administer medication as prescribed and keep accurate records of medication administration;
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties if needed.
Qualification:
- Some secondary school education is usually required;
- Home management experience is asset;
- College or other courses in home support is asset;
- First aid certification may is asset;
- Completion of a training program in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities, convalescent care or in a related field is asset;
- Working knowledge of English;
- Ability to work independently and be positive.
