Artisan SakeMaker Inc. is a unique commercial winery that handcrafts award winning, and small batch fresh Japanese wine, Sake. We are looking for a permanent full-time Food Service Manager at Artisan SakeMaker at Granville Island, Vancouver, BC
Duties:
-Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the food and beverage service
-Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
-Recruit staff and oversee staff training
-Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
-Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
-Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
-Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food, beverage and other supplies
-Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
Skills and Experiences:
- Completion of secondary school
- Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is a strong asset, but not required
- Several years of experience in food preparation and/or food service
- Strong interpersonal skill.
- Numeracy and problem solving skills
- A wealth of knowledge about Japanese Sake and the food that goes with it is also a plus
Language: Communication skills in English

Compensation: $34.62/hourly, 40hours/week,
Benefit: Extended Health, Dental benefit, tip sharing, 20% staff discount, 4% vacation pay
