Concrete Finisher Helper

Salary: $27 / hour

# of hours per week:  40 hours (overtime pay over 44 hours )

Employment Requirements:

• At least 7 months of construction experience is required
• Experience as concrete finisher helper is an asset
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have their own vehicle to get to and from the job location/shop
• Willing to travel within Ontario.
• WHIMIS will be required - not a must to start but they will be required to get it
• Must know how to operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers

Duties:

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Clean and lubricate canes
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
• Assist in aligning pipes
• Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
• Remove rubble and other 2debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Secure special attachments to equipment
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
