Job Summary:
The Landscape Labourer will assist and support skilled landscaping professionals, working under their guidance and supervision. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, able to understand and follow verbal instructions in English. This role requires physical endurance for labor-intensive tasks, including heavy lifting, repetitive movements, and the safe handling of landscaping tools and equipment.

Job Description and Duties:
- Prepare landscaping areas by spreading soil, laying sod, planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees, and assisting with the setup of landscape structures.
- Mow grass, rake leaves, aerate soil, fertilize and water lawns, remove weeds, and trim shrubs and trees as instructed by the supervisor.
- Maintain lawns and grassy areas along roadsides.
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping tools like power mowers, tractors, chainsaws, clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, and snowblowers.
- Apply sprays or dust to trees, shrubs, and gardens to manage insects and prevent disease, following instructions.
- Perform other physical tasks to clean and upkeep landscaped areas.
Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time, Long Term
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Wages: $19.00 per hour
Overtime: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations
Location of Work: Various location with base at Site 503 box 71 RR5, Saskstoon, Saskatchewan S7K3J8
Anticipated Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible
Education, Experience and Language Requirements:
- Some secondary school education may be required
- On-the-job training will be provided. Experience is an asset
- Basic English skills
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling

- Must be available for all hours of operations and shifts including overtime and weekend work as required
