Job Posting: Inn Manager

 

Location: Villager Inn Princeton, Princeton, BC (266 4th St., Princeton, British Columbia, V0X 1W0)

Wage: $34.75 per hour (Overtime rate: $52.13 per hour for hours exceeding 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week)

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Villager Inn Princeton is a cozy and welcoming motel that provides guests with a comfortable stay in the heart of Princeton, BC. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Inn Manager to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

 

Position Overview:

The Inn Manager will be responsible for all aspects of motel management, including guest satisfaction, staff supervision, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality service, and the ability to make effective decisions to enhance the guest experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the motel, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Supervise and train motel staff, fostering a positive, productive team environment.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Manage housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive occupancy.
  • Monitor budgets and expenses, optimizing resources and cost-efficiency.
  • Prepare and review reports on financial performance, occupancy rates, and guest feedback.

 

Requirements:

  • Completion of a secondary school education is required; a diploma in hospitality management is an asset.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in hotel or motel management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of hotel management software is a plus.
