SANGAM SWEETS & CURRY EXPRESS INC. is well known for its fresh and delectable meals. We are located in Mission, BC, Canada and looking for a “Book Keeper” to join our restaurants operating in BC, Canada.

Salary: $29 hourly for 36 hours per week
Experience: 2 to 3 years
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Book Keeper (NOC 12200) will have to perform all of these duties:
- Oversee and manage all financial accounts for the Restaurant.
- Prepare trial balance of the books.
- Record all Transactions related to the buying and selling of goods and services.
- Prepare tax returns and perform other book keeping duties.
- Prepare and submit tax remittance forms and other government documents as needed.
- Make and process employee time sheets and payroll, utility tax and other bills.
- Enter vendor expenses, invoice and make sure payments are dispersed in timely manner.
- Prepare general ledger accounts, Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expenses, receipts, accounts payable).
- Prepare Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation such as prepaid, accruals, unearned revenue for revenue accounting.
- Perform other related duties as directed or as the situation dictates.
Requirements:
Knowledge of MS Word; Accounting software; MS Outlook will be preferred.
English is required.
The employment is full time and permanent.
