Swiss Chalet is looking anorganized and dynamic Kitchen Supervisor who is reliable, dependable, with good communication skills, ability to multi-task, and lead the team under pressure in our location in the Collingwood region.

Job Type

  • Full-time, Permanent

Salary

  •  $17.00 per hour (paid bi-weekly)

Hours

  • 35 to 40 hrs per week

Duties and responsibilities

  • Checking the quality of beverages and food on timely manner and make daily checklist
  • Coordinating with the chef, cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth functioning of all activities
  • Supervise the preparation of all products in an efficient manner to handle daily requirements and ensure all food prepared is of the highest quality
  • Perform paperwork duties and assist with product orders and inventory as needed
  • Implement the service standards and operating procedures for all food and beverage services
  • Address any kitchen-related issues, such as equipment malfunctions, staff conflicts, or customer complaints
  • Maintain records of needed repairs, daily sales, and wastage
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Make work schedules and assist in assigning duties to work staff
  • Comply with all Swiss Chalet policies and procedures and rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as required

Education

  • College diploma (Education in relevant trade is an asset)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Supervision/Management experience of at least 6 Months to 1 Year
  • Experience in same field is an asset
  • Must work mixed shifts depending upon the schedule

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical and managing skills, ability to supervise 5-10 persons
  • A positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Must be able to work with a team and have a strong initiative.
  • Must be able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during, evening, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Physical requirements

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Working in a hot kitchen environment
